In 1985, founder Chuck Carr
developed shims in a snap pack and distributed them under the company
name SnapCo Incorporated.
Business quickly expanded to other members of the family as son, Joe
Carr and daughter Mary Carr joined the business in 1989.
In 1992 due to a decrease in timber harvesting the snap pack was
eliminated from production, but the name, already well-known continued
to produce shims at their mill located on the coast in Humptulips,
Washington.
SnapCo prides themselves in providing a quality product, made from
Western Red Cedar available in two sizes and several different packs.
